Millcreek Township is a suburban area to the south of downtown Salt Lake City. It’s a bit more racially diverse than other neighborhoods in Utah. Many of the homes here are smaller, single-family dwellings built in the 1940s and 1950s. Located near the middle of the Salt Lake Valley, Millcreek offers easy access to downtown and other areas. Summer is an active time for the community; local government hosts numerous outdoor festivals and community movie nights. There are numerous parks and golf courses, including Old Mill Golf Course, one of the newest municipal courses in the city. Salt Lake County is the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake of the MLS, University of Utah Pac-12 athletics, and was the host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
